New CEO to lead Graboplast’s growth

A new CEO with extensive management experience in the building materials industry has been appointed to head Győr-based Graboplast: Judit Járomi will take the helm of the leading Central European flooring manufacturer from March 2026. She has been working in senior positions in various manufacturing and commercial areas for nearly 30 years, most recently at international building materials manufacturing companies focusing on export markets.

On March 2, 2026, the owner, Wallis Group, appointed Judit Járomi as CEO of Győr-based Graboplast Zrt. She has been working in manufacturing environments at international companies in the food and construction industries for nearly 30 years. She has gained extensive experience in managing complex, large-volume production and business processes. She started her professional career at Cerbona, then worked for nearly 15 years in various positions at Hungrana, Europe’s largest grain processor. For the past 18 years, she has worked as a senior manager in sales and marketing, including 10 years as managing director at companies focusing primarily on export markets, first at KALL Ingredients, then at Creaton South-East Europe, and most recently at Baumit.

Graboplast, a 120-year-old company, is Central and Eastern Europe’s leading specialist flooring manufacturer, with three production facilities in Hungary (Győr, Tatabánya, and Kecskemét). Owned by Wallis Group, the company achieved sales of HUF 20 billion in 2024. Graboplast’s products are manufactured using state-of-the-art technologies and are sold in around 80 countries on five continents by the company, which employs nearly 500 people. It manufactures its own specially developed floor coverings in Győr and Tatabánya and produces wooden parquet flooring in Kecskemét. In addition to manufacturing residential flooring, Graboplast focuses on its own specially developed, high value-added floor coverings, in sport, commercial, entertainment and mobility product segments.

Graboplast has entered a new phase of development, in which the owner, Wallis Group, expects the new CEO to continue the efficiency-enhancing transformation of manufacturing and production processes that has already begun, as well as to further develop the commercial and sales areas. Graboplast’s goal is to further strengthen its presence in Hungary, Europe, and the global market by utilizing its specialized flooring products and R&D capabilities, successfully building on the company’s 120-year tradition.

Judit Járomi took over the position from László Ivan, who, despite the challenging economic environment over the past three years, has implemented numerous successful projects, further developing Graboplast’s competitiveness in Hungary and in international markets. The former CEO introduced modern IT and enterprise management systems and data-based processes that contributed to the structured operation which enables Graboplast to withstand the increasing global competition with its specialty flooring products. These developments provide a stable foundation for the company’s further growth. Wallis Group would like to take this opportunity to thank László Ivan for his achievements over the past years. He will take on new responsibilities at other companies within Wallis Group in the future.
